Where art and whisky converge
The collaboration between art and whisky is a truly unique and creative endeavour. Joanna McDonough's work with Speyside Distillery exemplifies this blend, harmonising two distinct mediums into a singular, handcrafted experience. It's an exploration of how visual art can interpret and enhance the rich heritage of whisky making.
In 2025 Joanna produced a range of whisky depicting her unique Highland abstract artworks on each bottle. The set total 8 individual abstract prints which can be purchased as prints for the art or individually on the bottles labels themselves.

The Artists Collection, by Joanna McDonough
Inspired by the Cairngorms
Speyside Distillery is nestled within the breathtaking beauty of the Cairngorms National Park. This exquisite collection of whisky has one of a set of 8 unique labels depicting one of Joanna's abstract
mini paintings from her Journey Series painted in 2025. All 8 mini paintings are inspired by the landscape of the Cairngroms and Joanna's journey throughout Scotland from Aberdeen to the Isle of Skye.

Reflecting the Highland essence
For visitors to Speyside Distillery, (now a Lost Distillery) Joanna McDonough's abstract landscapes offer a perfect artistic reflection of their experience. Her paintings truly capture the rugged beauty and serene majesty of the surroundings, making them ideal keepsakes or gifts that embody the spirit of the Scottish Highlands and the home of fine whisky. The Distillery closed it's doors in 2025 and is moving to a new location. Its whisky from the distillery is now classed as "lost" and therefore unique in the industry.
